Joe King #2 Reservoir Completes
The Joe King #2 Reservoir was first constructed in the early 1900’s for irrigation purposes. It was never used for that purpose, and fell into disrepair and eventually breached.
In 2007, the owner chartered Buckhorn Geotech, Inc. to design and permit the dam. The original dam structure was removed, and the dam was rebuilt. The reconstruction was completed in 2008.
The dam will form a reservoir which will be approximately 40 feet deep, cover 23.5 surface acres, and store 306.8 acre-feet of water.
